Automated microneedling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars, and overall improvement in the skin's texture, tone ad color.

 

After a topical anesthetic is applied tiny needles are passed over the skin creating micro-injuries. It is the healing process that promotes the promotes the production of new collagen and elastic fibers.  This procedure also helps reduce hyperpigmentation (brown spots) and stretch marks. The microneedling treatment can be enhanced by adding the use of patients own platelet rich plasma as a topical agent to absorb through the tiny channels created by microneedling.
